Back in 1979, when I was 24, my Dad’s boss said to him. “Silly question Alec, you don’t know anyone who would be interested in going to Egypt do you. My sister is organising a trip and someone has let her down.” Of course he did, me! I had loved Egypt since I was 9. This was my very first trip to Egypt, I kept a diary and I still have the photos. I have put it all together, now I have been living in Egypt for 10 years and have some new information and laugh at my old self.
